Honestly had such a BLAST on this speedboat trip out to Tiran Island! Just me and my partner and a couple of randoms, but everyone was vibing. Our guide, Kareem, was super chill and kept making jokes. I was a little nervous about snorkeling (I’m not a strong swimmer) but they had float vests and were patient with me. Saw soooo many colorful fish, like swimming in an aquarium, and one turtle just hanging out by the coral. Water was crystal clear. Only downside was the sun—bring double sunscreen, I got so burned! Still, def worth it. Would go again for sure.
Took my two teens and my husband on the morning trip. Early start, but honestly—less people at that time, which I liked. The crew set us up with gear, though my daughter's mask was a bit leaky (they swapped it out fast). Speedboat goes FAST, kids loved that. Reefs were GORGEOUS, saw a lionfish which freaked out my son. Lunch was basic but tasty (think pita and cheese). The music on the boat was a bit loud for my taste, but hey, kids didn’t mind. Would’ve given 5 stars if there was more shade onboard.
Did the trip with friends. Not bad but not mind blowing either. Guide was friendly, but boat was a bit cramped and you can’t take pics underwater unless you bring your own waterproof case (learned the hard way). Water was warm, snorkeling ok—didn’t see as much as I’d hoped. Got kind of crowded at the main reef, too. Wasn’t bad but might try a different operator next time.
If you’re debating booking this—DO IT. Some of the best snorkeling I’ve ever done (and I’ve been to Thailand, Oz, Hawaii). The reefs here just pop with color. We saw a moray eel (looked scary but guide said it’s chill), and a couple of rays gliding by. Staff were super attentive, even helped my grandma get in the water (she’s 73!). Boat snacks were mostly cookies and fruit, nothing fancy but hit the spot. Only thing is, you can’t really hang out on the island itself, just swim around it. Still, totally worth the price.
Booked a last minute trip for our anniversary. Boat left a bit late, so we had to wait around in the sun (bring a hat!!). But once we got going, wow—the water’s every shade of blue. Crew were smiley and took some fun pics of us together (just ask). Got to see a school of parrotfish and a turtle. Wish the ride back was less bumpy, but I guess that’s part of the adventure.
