From Cairo - Overnight Trip to St. Catherine Monastery and Mount Sinai

Overview

This experience takes you from Cairo to St. Catherine, arriving in the afternoon. After settling in, you'll rise very early for a guided hike in darkness up the mountain near St. Catherine. Arriving at the summit before dawn, you'll watch the sunrise from the mountaintop and take in the changing light and views as day breaks. As you descend, you'll visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, one of Christianity’s oldest monasteries, which was built around the site of the Burning Bush. Along the way and within the monastery grounds, you'll see the ancient religious setting and learn about its historical significance. After the visit you will have breakfast and then return to Cairo.
