Overview

In the early morning, your driver will come to your hotel in Aswan to begin a comfortable, air‑conditioned transfer in a small group to Abu Simbel. The temples sit around 280 km to the south of Aswan, close to the Sudanese border, and you will travel there to visit one of Egypt’s most iconic temple complexes. On arrival, a tour guide will meet you and help you explore the two magnificent temples at Abu Simbel. As you move through the site, you will learn about their historical significance and see the large statues, detailed carvings and architectural features up close. There will be plenty of opportunities to take photos of the facades and interior reliefs. After your temple visit, you will have some free time to relax and take in the views around Lake Nasser before returning to your hotel in Aswan.
