Fayoum Oasis Adventure 4WD Desert Safari with Traditional Lunch

Overview

Your guide will collect you from your hotel in Cairo for a day exploring El Fayoum’s distinctive landscapes and protected areas. Along the drive you will pass Qarun Lake and hear about its history, then visit Wadi El Rayan, which was designated a Protected Area in 1989. After a short rest at the camp, you will take a 4x4 into Wadi Hitan, the Valley of the Whales Protected Area, to learn about its ancient fossils and unique terrain. You will also visit the Magic Lake, where you can swim, and see the waterfalls that are described as the only waterfalls in Egypt. On the way back you will pass Mudawara Mountain before returning to the desert bedouin camp. There you will enjoy a BBQ lunch and drink traditional bedouin tea with cardamom. Around the camp you may try sandboarding; the guide will give the necessary instructions to enjoy this activity safely. After the day’s activities, you will be driven back to your hotel in Cairo.
