Overview
You will travel into the Fayoum Oasis to visit the Valley of Whales (Wadi al‑Hitan). A guide and driver will pick you up and take you into the heart of Egypt’s desert to explore the fossil site. At the open‑air museum you will see fossil skeletons and remains, including Basilosaurus, Dorudon, sea cow, crocodile and shark fossils, and learn about the evolution of whales as you move around the site. After time at Wadi al‑Hitan you will enjoy a picnic lunch, then continue to Wadi El Rayan to see its waterfalls and lakes. The trip also includes a visit to Tunis Village to see Evelyne Pottery House. Finally you will be transferred back to your stay in Cairo.
