Day Trip to The Egyptian musuem, Citadel of Salah El-Din, and Khan El-Khalili

Overview

This experience takes you to three of Cairo’s most historic sites. You will spend time at the Egyptian Museum, which houses many ancient Egyptian monuments and antiquities. As you move through its galleries, you will see a broad range of objects from Egypt’s past and get a sense of the country’s long archaeological heritage. You will also visit the Citadel of Salah Eldin, a large fortified complex that was built for defence by Egypt’s armies. Along the way you will explore its imposing architecture and learn about its historical role in protecting the city. The day ends in Khan el Khalili Market, the oldest market in Egypt, where you can browse and buy a wide variety of goods and absorb the atmosphere often described as the spirit of old Egypt.
