Overview

You will travel to the Giza plateau to see the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and enjoy panoramic views of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. As you move through the site, you will visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple associated with the Pyramid of Chephren, a temple that served for the purification of the king’s mummy before burial and was used in the mummification process. There will be many outstanding photo stops along the way. You will also visit the Egyptian Museum, which displays more than 250,000 pieces that span over 5,000 years of Egyptian art. The museum includes the Tutankhamen room, showing the treasure, jewellery and gold that were enclosed in his tomb over 3,500 years before it was discovered in 1920 when his tomb was excavated.
