Day Tour To Islamic Cairo
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
This private walking tour begins with a visit to the mosque of Ahmed Ibn Tulun, the oldest mosque still intact in Egypt. You will spend time at the mosque and take in its atmosphere. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to observe the building and its surroundings and to hear about its place in the city. Afterwards you will walk from Bab Zuwayla to Babal-Futuh and Bab al Nasr. The route moves you between these historic city gates, giving you a close look at each one and the neighbourhoods around them. As you move through the area, you will explore the streets and learn about the gates’ significance and role in the urban fabric. Because this is a private walking tour, the pace is set for your group. You will be able to focus on the sights that interest you most and ask questions as you go. The experience centres on seeing these key landmarks—Ahmed Ibn Tulun, Bab Zuwayla, Babal-Futuh and Bab al Nasr—and understanding their place in the city.
