Day Tour to Giza Pyramids, The National Museum Of Egyptian Civilization & Bazzar

Overview

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by an Upper Egypt Tours guide and transferred to the Giza Plateau. There you will visit the Great Pyramids — Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos — and the nearby Valley Temple, where priests once mummified the body of King Chephren. You will also have a close-up look at the Sphinx as you move through the complex. The visit continues at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. The main exhibition hall presents the four crafts that shaped Egyptian life: pottery, wood, textile and ornaments. On display you can see the oldest prosthetic toe in the world, a skeleton of a man dating back about 30,000 years, the Kaaba cover (kiswaa Al kaaba) — noted as the last one made in Egypt during the time of President Naser — and the Mahmal that was used to carry the cover from Egypt to Saudi Arabia in an annual parade. After the museum visit you will be transferred back to your hotel.
