Day Tour to Cairo from Alexandria Port & Alexandria Hotels
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.
Overview
Your day begins with a guide meeting you inside Alexandria Port or at your hotel, holding a sign with your name. You will travel the 137-mile route to Cairo in a private minivan. The first stop will be the Giza Plateau, where the pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure rise at the edge of the desert. Nearby, you will see the Sphinx, carved directly from bedrock and offering clear views of the pyramids. Along the way you will take lunch at a high-quality restaurant. Afterward, the guide will lead you through the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, which houses the world’s largest collection of pharaonic artefacts; the visit will highlight key exhibits, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. The final visit is to Khan Al Khalili bazaar, where you can browse for Egyptian souvenirs such as leather goods, perfumes and spices. The tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel or back at the port.
