Camel ride in Sharm elsheikh desert

Overview

This experience gives you the chance to ride and handle a dromedary, also known as the Arabian camel. You will spend time with this large, even‑toed ungulate and get close to its most distinctive feature: the single hump on its back. Along the way you will learn about the dromedary’s place among camels. It is the smallest of the three camel species, and camels are generally grouped into two types: those with one hump (dromedaries) and those with two humps. You will see the hump up close and learn that camels’ humps consist of stored fat, which they can metabolise when food and water are scarce. This straightforward, hands‑on encounter focuses on the animal itself and the basic facts about its biology and adaptations.
