The experience with Mina the tour guide in Luxor was excellent. He went above and beyond with his knowledge and experience. Very attentive to a customer who had to have some extra help. That part was great and there are absolutely no complaints whatsoever. SEAMLESS EXPERIENCE Itinerary - Giza to Luxor (round trip) - Pre/Leaving Giza: we had a driver who picked us up from our hotel and took us to the station and to our cabin room. We had booked for 3 people but researched the cabins were in doubles so one person would have to sleep alone. We asked the operator via WhatsApp if this can be accomodated for and they said us at an additional fee which was fine as we didn’t want the single to bunk with a stranger. The day in Luxor was great! It’s amazing how much you can see in just one day. Hany is a very good guide and knows his Egyptology, he explained a lot and answered all our questions. And when we were done early with the program he even organized a boat tour to banana island for us! The driver Hussein was also great, and the rest of the team in Luxor and Cairo were very professional and helpful, everything went smoothly. I was charged 640USD for a trip that included 320USD train ticket plus a guide for the group. This trip is grossly over priced and badly managed. It booking time the pickup time from the hotel for the Luxor trip was given as 6 pm but the actual pick up was past 8:30. On return from Luxor there was no pickup arrangement and had to take an uber back to the hotel. I will never use viator again nor would recommended it to anyone.
