We were disappointed because the first mosque was unavailable for us to see and in the itinerary it says we would spend 2 hours there. The guide was nice and informative but there was a lot of time wasted going to the company owned souvenirs shops. They could have asked us what we really wanted to do with the extra time and we ended up finishing early. Some of the mosques were very nice to visit but not worth the price.

The tour amazing, yes. What set this apart from any other tour was our guide Yousef and our driver (apologies, I didn’t catch his name). We felt so comfortable the entire day, and it felt less like a tour and more like hanging out with your (extremely knowledgeable) long lost cousin. From explaining the history of each site, answering our questions about anything and everything, recommending food, making sure we were comfortable, and being very funny, Yousef was the highlight of our day. This tour was fantastic. Not only did we to visit the great mosques of Cairo but we were to experience the Friday prayer at Al-Azhar with our highly informative and resourceful guide, Marwa—one of the real highlights of our trip. Intellectually and spiritually stimulating. Highly recommended.
