Our guide Sultan and our drive Ahmed were wonderful. Sultan has a degree in Egyptology and is keenly aware of his culture’s history. I am a history buff and people, dates, places and events (wars, marriages, families) intrigues me. Sultan checked all the boxes. He really should be a college professor! His presentation was stellar. He hits the high points and kept it fun and entertaining. He gave us background and context. The Cairo Museum was very special but the Mosque of Muhammad Ali/Alabaster Mosque blew me away. The mosque was beautiful and it’s history stretches hundreds of years. This wa
