Overview

On this private tour from Aswan, you'll travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and have your guide's full attention as you visit two of Egypt's best-preserved temples. First you will reach Kom Ombo, a striking riverside complex built with a unique double design. As you move through its halls and courtyards, you'll see the two adjoining sanctuaries dedicated to the falcon god Horus and the crocodile god Sobek, and get a clear sense of how worship was organised along the Nile. Later, you'll explore the Ptolemaic temple of Edfu, often described as the most intact of Egypt’s ancient sanctuaries. You will walk among its carved reliefs, sanctuaries and colonnades and hear about the myths and rituals they record. The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Aswan, entrance fees, and private transport. An optional drop-off in Luxor after visiting Kom Ombo and Edfu is available if you prefer not to return to Aswan.
