A monument to power & love Next to the Great Temple is the Small Temple, dedicated to Queen Nefertari and Hathor, the goddess of love and motherhood. Marvel at the six grand statues standing at the entrance—four of Ramses II and two of Nefertari—each carved at equal height, symbolizing the queen’s elevated status. Inside, the walls are adorned with intricate carvings of Nefertari making offerings to the gods and Ramses II’s devotion.
