Overview

This five-day journey through Luxor and Aswan takes you into Egypt’s ancient heart. In Luxor, you’ll explore the Valley of the Kings and visit the magnificent temple of Queen Hatshepsut. You’ll see the Temple of Medinet Habu and the towering statues of Memnon, and walk among the vast columns of Karnak Temple before moving on to the atmospheric ruins of Luxor Temple. An optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor’s landscape may be available to see the area from above. As you travel to Aswan, you’ll stop at the Temple of Kom Ombo, devoted to Sobek and Horus, and explore the well‑preserved Temple of Edfu. On arrival in Aswan, you’ll visit the island of Philae, witness the modern High Dam, and stand before a towering obelisk. The experience concludes with a visit to the imposing Abu Simbel Temple before you say goodbye to Aswan and return home. Along the way, you’ll encounter a mix of monumental ancient sites and modern engineering, with time to absorb the history and setting of each place.
