Overview

Your package includes pickup from the airport and transfer to your hotel. Over the following days a professional tour guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning to lead the excursions. You will visit the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, where you can see the Great Pyramid and the pyramids of Khafre and Mykerinos. Lunch and a shopping tour are included. You will also go to the Complex of King Zoser to see the Step Pyramid, described here as the first pyramid and the first large-scale stone construction in the world. Another day you will explore the Egyptian Museum, where artefacts associated with King Tutankhamun are on display, including a sarcophagus said to weigh 111 kg of pure gold and the pharaoh’s funerary mask (11 kg). Lunch is included on this day as well. The programme also includes a visit to the Citadel of Saladin for panoramic views over Cairo and to see the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, built in 1831 AD, followed by time at the Khan el-Khalili market.
