Overview

Your private guide will collect you from your hotel and take you to the Giza Pyramids, where you will see the Sphinx and enjoy a camel ride in the Sahara desert. The tour also goes to Saqqara, where you can explore the ancient Step Pyramid and several tombs, learning about early Egyptian burial practices as you move through the site. Lunch is included, and transfer back to your hotel is provided. On the second day you will visit the Egyptian Museum to see the treasures of King Tutankhamen. You will also visit the Citadel of Saladdin and take in the scale of its fortifications and the Alabaster Mosque’s architecture. The tour then continues to Old Cairo, where you will visit the Hanging Church and experience the atmosphere of Khan el-Khalili. Along the way your guide will provide context and background for the sites you visit, helping you understand their historical and cultural significance.
