Overview

You will meet your guide, an Egyptologist, at your hotel’s reception and begin with a visit to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, where you'll see the treasures of the young King Tutankhamun and receive an in-depth overview of the different eras of ancient Egyptian history. After the museum, you'll sail on the Nile in a traditional felucca and pause for lunch. As you move through Old Cairo, you'll explore the Mohammed Ali Pasha Mosque and wander the lanes of Khan El Khalili bazaar. After taking in the city’s sights and atmosphere, you'll stop for a cup of tea before returning to your hotel. You will have the option to book dinner on the cruise or a sound and light show. On day two you'll start at your convenience with the same guide and visit the Giza pyramids and the Great Sphinx, then continue to the ancient pyramid fields of Sakkara and the open-air museum in Memphis. There is also the option to go inside a pyramid or enjoy a camel ride for an additional fee. At the end of the day your guide will bring you back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
