My tour guide Emad reached out the night before to start our day on the West Bank together. He sent a photo of himself and let me know where we would meet. I was introduced to the driver, Amr (very nice) and off we went. First stop, Valley of the Kings. Thankfully not all the tombs are open, because those that can be viewed are extensive and deliver. Beautiful details, colors that will amaze and details that will make you wonder. Emad was keen to share how they made such vivid colors, how and why the tombs were designed as they were and more. The rest of the stops, Valley of the Queens, Temple
Our full-day tour of Luxor’s West Bank with Mena was simply outstanding. His deep knowledge of Egyptian history and ability to explain the significance of each site made the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s Temple, and other monuments come alive. What impressed us most was his professionalism and warmth, he kept the pace comfortable, ensured we had time for photos, and always checked in on our comfort despite the heat. The trip was well organized, but it was Mena’s engaging storytelling and genuine care that turned the day into an unforgettable experience. We left with not just memories, but
A+++++ Tour was great, our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Great experience. Highly recommended
Book!!! Book!!! Book!!! Our guide Noby wasn’t fantastic!!! He was so knowledgeable and let us go at our own pace. The beauty of a private tour was if we wanted to stay a little longer somewhere we could and if we just wanted a potter, take some photos and move on we could. His knowledge is second to none. Lunch was amazing!!! Cannot recommend this excursion highly enough. We were on a river cruise and saw everything on the West Bank on one day but if we had booked with our travel operator it would have been two excursion and more than double the price
Mena Gamil is the best guide one could ask for - his extensive knowledge and amazing sense of humor kept us engaged throughout. He is someone with a vast depth of knowledge about Egyptian culture and history. Very accommodating and well mannered. Book a tour with him if given a choice. Our driver Mahmoud-Boujie was very courteous too. They are the best amongst all arrogant, scammer guides in Luxor.
We had a wonderful tour of the West Bank sites with our very knowledgeable and friendly guide, Ereen. She shared the history and key points regarding each site, and I also very much appreciated having free time at each site for us to explore and take photos. We appreciated flexibility in the itinerary to add the additional tombs in Valley of the Kings and spend some extra time in Medinet Habu (a must-see, don't skip!). Deir el Medina has a number of steep steps to see the tombs, but if you can manage it, you won't be disappointed. We also had a great lunch after the tour before heading back to
