Si te gustan los monumentos menos conocidos, visitarás Al Menia y sus yacimientos arqueológicos cercanos. La excursión te lleva a Tal Al Amarna, a la que se llega en lancha motora, donde podrás ver los restos de la ciudad que sirvió como capital bajo el faraón Akenatón. A medida que recorras la zona, podrás apreciar su importancia histórica en el pasado de Egipto. También explorarás Bani Hassan, un yacimiento conocido por sus numerosas tumbas excavadas en la roca. Allí podrás ver tumbas que datan del Imperio Antiguo y del Imperio Medio, y tendrás la oportunidad de contemplar sus fachadas talladas y sus cámaras funerarias. Walid the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer my questions. Both he and the driver Abdullah were also very accommodating of my request to switch out one of the planned stops for Tell el Amarna instead and guiding me on the fly. It might be better to book this one with at least a couple of people though as doing it solo was pricey, but was very lucky to get these two to help me! Also fair warning, there is a lot of driving but you definitely get off the beaten path and at least when I went, there were no other tourists which was fantastic. Thanks for a great trip!!
