A long north-south island about 90 minutes north of Hurghada with a plateau at each end and a dramatic deep wall on the east side. Three well-known ergs on the southern plateau at 25-30 m. One of the more reliable Hurghada sites for pelagics and white-tips. Depth 0–40 m; day boat; Moderate to strong, particularly around the northern and southern plateaux; usually dived as a drift current.
