At the northern tip of Marsa Bareika. A wide sandy slope from about 6 m drops to a series of coral pinnacles and a forest of huge Acropora tables - described as one of the healthiest and most diverse coral sites in Sinai. Was closed for years to protect turtles. Depth 6–30 m; day boat; can be strong (dive-the-world) current. Inside Ras Mohammed National Park: declared 1983 by the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency, 480 km2 (135 km2 land, 345 km2 sea).
