Stulcken & Sohn, Hamburg, Germany (yard no. 770); year_built: Launched 11 February 1952; completed October 1952; length_m: 106.4; tonnage: 3,694 GRT; date_sunk: 12 December 1978; cause: Struck the north-east corner of Sha'ab Abu Nuhas reef while steaming south at full speed; the crew were taken off and the ship was abandoned to the reef; cargo: About 4,500 tonnes of bagged lentils; orientation: Lying on her starboard side against the base of the reef, bow to the reef. Bow and forward holds broken up in 4-15 m; midships and engine room 20-26 m; stern, rudder and propeller at 32 m.; wreck_depth_m: 4-32; penetration: Yes - entry through a salvage-cut hole in the port side leads into the engine room, with swim-throughs forward to No. 2 hold and aft through the cargo holds to the bridge and accommodation. Advanced/wreck training strongly advised.
