Private Shopping-Tour in Kairo: Papyrus, ätherische Öle, Basar und Baumwolle

Our guide was very knowledgeable. He spoke great English and gave us a lot of information. He was so considerate and thoughtful making sure we had water to drink and a snack to eat. The tour was awesome and we ended up purchasing something at almost every place.

We have completed our shopping trip in 1,5 hour. The places we were taken were really sad. The perfume place overpriced, oils kept under the light in the transparent jars, that would affect their quality, teas are kept in open boxes (I cannot imagine how much dust must be deposited there over the time). The papyrus shop was very basic and cotton shop had no cotton items there, just you basic overpriced poor quality items that you can get on the market. The only good thing we had was the koshari and a safe drive back to the hotel. We did ask if we can be taken to Khan Kalil or Husaini market in

Our guid Adelle was very nice and helpful, but as the experience I won’t recommend because you can simply find other papyrus places that sell them 5x less than in the places where they bring you. The cotton shop is veryyyy bad, it’s just a shop with a fre tshirts and addresses. So overall no, I won’t do it. Also in the antique shop you really have to negotiate hard otherwise you’ll simply get scammed

Waste of time, waste of money. You find better deals from the people trying to hustle at the pyramids and on the street. All the shops here are not only pricey, they won't budge (or barley) on their prices I L-I-T-E-R-A-L-L-Y saw the papyrus bookmarks being sold they're $5 a pop being sold as an entire ten pack for $5 at the pyramids and I'm like smh you think your guide is for you but no, they're in cahoots with these shops because full circle they all take a percentage long story short, don't go, don't book, you're welcome.
