Alexandria Day tour from Cairo-Must See attractions

This was a good day trip from Cairo. The Citadel is a must-see in Alexandria - beautiful panoramic views from the rooftop. We also enjoyed the Royal Jewelry Museum - some beautiful pieces on display, especially the chess set. Our guide Noorhan and our driver Yasser were both excellent, and provided lots of interesting information about the places we visited.

Very nice trip and the weather surprised us!! It was raining & cold (which we liked very much). Alexandria is definitely lovely city, our Tour guide & driver were lovely people. We are glad we visited this place. Food (especially my favorite bread) is yummy.

Enjoyed our day tour. The driver and guide were great. The price seemed a bit high but I suspect that is because of the long drive from Cairo. Good inclusions.

This day tour was excellent! We booked this on Viator during our Egypt visit in February, 2026. The vendor sent a driver coming to pick us up at our hotel in downtown Cairo, and brought me and my wife up to Alexandria, and met with the local tour guide Ahmed (Mu-mu). Mu-mu was an excellent guide, who was knowledgeable, passionate, and very considerate to our tour interests. He accompanied us visited all the key tourist spots in Alexandria: Catacombs of Kom Shoqafa, Roman Amphitheater, and Qaitbay Citadel, as well as stopping by at the Pompey's Pillar and the Alexandria Library. The driver was very good and on time. During the entire trip, he was very helpful and consistent in his services. His driving skills was good and stable in Egypt driving conditions. Tour guide was flexible and might adjust his schedule according to your needs.

A great guide and a very interesting tour. It was a good way to get a taste of Alexandria all in one day.
