First of all our guide was late for 50 minutes and seat belt in a car didn’t work, so I was worried all the way especially when driver was going very fast. Guide (Hassan) was sleeping on the way there and was in his phone on the way back, so basically if there was only driver would be totally fine. When we got there at Blue Blue Sokhna we got a room which was dirty. There was long black hair in the shower drain! toilet was dirty. My driver Aimn was excellent. I felt safe at all times (even in the crazy Cairo traffic)! He was my driver, interpreter, guide and companion, which was nice to have for someone travelling alone. He even protected me from getting scammed by the hotel. Other reviews have described how dirty and un-maintained the hotel is. And they are right. But it is just a day-use room. This day was the highlight of our Egypt trip by far. I unfortunately booked this trip last minute so the room wasn't available but we were given the option of a jet ski, a "submarine," or a refund. We chose the jetski option. Our tour guide, Tolba, was personable, kind, and went out of his way for us. He picked us up from our hotel and after hearing that we didn't get a chance to eat breakfast, asked if we would like to stop somewhere on the way. We had an Amazing day trip to the Red Sea with Khaled as our tour guide (he’s an incredible guide and person!) Everything was perfect from the weather to the resort, and the food. It was a great experience and Khaled told us about places around the city while we drove to and from the resort. He also stopped for us to try the local sugar cane drink which was super thoughtful. Id highly recommend booking this tour with luxury tours and if you get Khaled as your guide you’re in great hands! Overall, it was a wonderful day at The Red Sea.
