Do Jordanians need a visa for Egypt?

One authoritative reference indicates Jordanian citizens are visa-exempt for up to three months, conditional on holding a normal five-year passport with no "Jordanian Registration Office" stamp, while holders of T-series passports must arrange a visa beforehand. A commercial visa advisory, by contrast, states that Jordanian passport holders need a pre-arranged embassy or consular visa obtained before travel. Egypt's generic visa-on-arrival and e-visa lists are built around Western and EU nationalities and do not clearly enumerate Jordan, so your case is governed by bilateral rules rather than the standard tracks. The safe operating assumption: do not assume automatic visa-free entry - confirm your eligibility directly with the Egyptian consulate in Amman for your specific passport type. The new Cairo digital visa on arrival

From 1 August 2026, Cairo International Airport launched a digital visa-on-arrival pilot: eligible travellers generate a QR-code visa through an official portal, mobile app or airport kiosk before or after landing.
