Makan — Egyptian Center for Culture & Art 的活动

A small room in Mounira, ten minutes south of Tahrir, run by the Egyptian Center for Culture and Art. It is the home of Mazaher, one of the last zar ensembles still performing publicly in Egypt — ritual music led by women, played without amplification to an audience sitting on the floor. Capacity is tiny and it fills, so arrive early. Nothing else in Cairo sounds like it.
