Trade the Red Sea coast for the world's greatest open-air museum on this full-day trip to Luxor. Setting out early by private air-conditioned vehicle, you cross the Eastern Desert to the Nile, reaching the West Bank to descend into the painted royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs including Tutankhamun and the Ramesside kings were laid to rest deep in the rock. Nearby rises the terraced Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, set dramatically against its cliff, and the towering Colossi of Memnon stand guard over the plain where a vanished temple once stood.    You are collected before dawn and driven by private vehicle across the desert via Qena to the Nile at Luxor.
