An early domestic flight carries you from Hurghada to Cairo, where your Egyptologist guide and private vehicle are waiting to make the most of every hour. First stop is the Giza Plateau, home to the last surviving wonder of the ancient world: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and the Valley Temple with its massive granite blocks. You will have time at the panoramic viewpoint where all three pyramids line up for photographs, before coming face to face with the Great Sphinx, carved from a single outcrop of limestone.
