Alexandria's library on the Corniche at Chatby, and the only institution in the city publishing a structured cultural calendar. It programmes concerts, lectures and film across the Great Hall, the Arts Centre and the Plaza spaces, much of it free or under a few hundred pounds. Anything happening culturally in Alexandria tends to happen here or at the Anfoushy palace, which is why the city's listings look thin: the supply is real, it just has almost nowhere else to be published.
