Positives On time, straightforward but long drive from Hurghada to Luxor. Great to see the sights (albeit very short experience) Negatives Extremely long day travelling. Only got to see 3 sights for a short time. Was hoodwinked into thinking that we were visiting a local house where we would be offered “hospitality” but this was really an opportunity for the tour guide to take us into a local pottery shop where you are pretty much hassled to buy something before you can leave. The guide was passionate, very friendly and provided many interesting explanations throughout the day. Nothing wrong with that. The driver was also correct and professional. On the other hand, the comfort of the vehicle was not really at the expected level. In addition, the offer mentioned refreshing drinks throughout the trip as well as a snack. In fact, there was simply a bottle of water that quickly warmed up in the car, as well as a pack of madeleines that I didn’t dare to consume because they already seemed a little crumbled. Everything went smoothly. The car was very clean and the driver was very nice. The tour guide was very nice and had a lot of information to offer. The guide was very quick on the way though, which made us sweat, but only then did we manage all the sights. The ambience of the restaurant was top but the food was borderline. The extras you can book to it were also ok.
