It's a long day, but it's worth it. The temples of Dendera and Abydos do not pay for mines seen from the outside, but what wonders once you enter them. The paintings and engravings are as numerous as they are wonderful. Note that these temples are located, certainly in the Nile Valley, but north of Luxor, and therefore not on the route of the classic cruises between Luxor and Aswan. There is therefore no other possibility, to visit them, than a day trip, unlike Karnak, the Temple of Hashemput and the Valley of the Kings which are systematically included in the programs of cruises on the Nile.
