With a NASCO Tours representative you will explore some of Luxor’s most remarkable ancient sites, beginning with a scenic drive to the Valley of the Kings. There you will step into intricately decorated royal tombs that have endured for centuries and learn about their role as the burial ground of Egypt’s great pharaohs. Along the way you will make a brief stop at the Colossi of Memnon to see the two towering statues of Amenhotep III that have stood for over 3,000 years. You will continue to Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Ramses III, where well-preserved reliefs depict battles and ritual scenes. From there you will visit the Tombs of the Nobles, whose painted chambers show detailed scenes of daily life and the duties of high officials and priests. Finally, you will see the Temple of Hatshepsut, an impressive terraced structure set against towering cliffs that honours one of Egypt’s most powerful rulers. The experience concludes with a return to your hotel.
