On a private trip from Cairo you will travel into the Al Fayoum region to explore its oasis landscape and ancient natural sites. Transport is by air‑conditioned vehicle with onboard Wi‑Fi, and an English‑speaking Egyptologist will act as your guide and driver. The vehicle provided is a comfortable four‑wheel‑drive Range Rover, and lunch at a local restaurant is included. As you move through the lush Fayoum basin you'll pass sweeping views en route to Fayoum city and the waterfalls of Fayoum. Along the way you will stop at Mudawara Mountain and visit Tunisia Village to see handmade craftwork and the village style there. The tour continues to Wadi El Rayan and its waterfalls, and to Wadi Al‑Hitan (Whale Valley), a World Heritage Site. Wadi Al‑Hitan has a small museum that explains the site's significance, and it contains the largest concentration of intact whale fossils in the world.
