This experience covers the most attractive sightseeing in Cairo and Giza and introduces you to the charm of Cairo alongside the pharaohs’ architectural legacy. You will explore key ancient sites and the historic heart of the city, moving between monumental tombs, bustling markets and religious landmarks. You will see the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx and experience the glory of pharaonic architecture. Visits also include the Saqqara pyramids and tombs and the ancient site of Memphis, where old funerary and monumental buildings remain. In the city, you will explore Old Cairo’s churches and synagogue and visit notable Islamic mosques, giving a sense of the area’s layered religious history. Along the way you will have time in Khan Elkhalili Bazaar to take in the atmosphere of one of Cairo’s best‑known markets. The focus is on sightseeing and on seeing these major landmarks and monuments that define Cairo and Giza.

Explore Egypt helped us have a great visit to Cairo I cannot recommend enough! Salma was friendly and welcoming, answering all our questions and tailoring private two day trips for us – to the Pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis one day then the Egyptian Museum and a walking tour of downtown Cairo stopping off to try food and drinks the next day. Excellent trip organised by Tour operator Mr, Aref Bakry to the pyramids of Giza and to Alexandria during our spring holidays in May 2022. We opted for a two day package which included lunch and a minivan in good condition with skilled driver. Overall the services provided by Aref were commendable - well-organised, reliable, on-time and pleasant.
