Overview

You will be collected from your hotel by a guide for a family-friendly tour of Egypt’s most famous sites. On the Giza Plateau you will see the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, and enjoy a camel ride around the pyramids in the pharos desert. You will then visit the Great Sphinx, which dates back to the time of Chephren, and explore the adjoining Valley Temple. Along the way you will drive a four-wheeler (ATV) across the Giza Plateau for one hour to view the plateau’s antiquities from the desert. Afterwards you will visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure built in the 3rd Dynasty for King Djoser. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant (Pyramids View). The tour continues to Memphis, the city founded by King Menes and once the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, where you will see the colossal Statue of Ramses II, standing 69 feet tall, and the alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.
