Overview

Experience the wonders of ancient Egypt on a guided day trip to Luxor with local experts. When you arrive in Luxor you'll visit the Temple of Karnak, considered the largest open‑air museum, and learn about its monumental architecture. You will then have lunch before crossing the Nile by boat to the Valley of the Kings, where Tutankhamun’s tomb was found almost intact. On site you will enter three royal tombs and hear about the most important pharaohs and the ongoing issue of tomb looting. The tour continues to the funerary Temple of Hatshepsut, where you will learn about Hatshepsut, the second confirmed female pharaoh, and her unusual reign. You will also see the Colossi of Memnon, two imposing statues representing Amenhotep III, before returning to Hurghada. Throughout the experience, local experts will provide historical context and guide you around each highlight.
