You will travel in a Toyota HiAce with a private professional driver, and your guide will take care of the details so you won’t need to worry about anything. The first stop will be the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx on the Giza Plateau, just outside Cairo. As you move through the site, you’ll see these monumental structures that date to the Fourth Dynasty (c. 2600–2500 BCE) and learn that they were built as tombs for the pharaohs. Later, you’ll explore the Saqqara complex, one of Egypt’s most important archaeological sites. Saqqara is a vast burial ground spanning thousands of years of history and is best known for the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the earliest known pyramid structure in Egypt. The tour will also include the tomb of Mry Ruka, noted as the biggest tomb in Saqqara, and the pyramid of King Titi, which is known for its outstanding pyramid texts. Along the way, your guide will provide context and explanations to help you appreciate the significance of each site.
