In Luxor you will explore what is often called the largest open-air museum in the world during a private, two-day guided tour. An Egyptologist will guide you as you move between sites, explaining the history of the ancient pharaohs and the stories behind the monuments. Door-to-door transfers are included, so you will travel between locations with ease. Across the two days you will visit the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, pause at the Colossi of Memnon, and see both Luxor Temple and the Temple of Karnak. The programme also includes the Complex of Dendera, where your guide will share the archaeological and cultural context of each site. Along the way you will learn about the architecture, inscriptions and historical significance of these landmarks and hear the stories and secrets that connect them.
