Overview

This private day trip takes you from Hurghada to the ancient city of Luxor, where you will visit some of Egypt’s most famous monuments. At the Karnak Temple complex you will walk among towering columns and monumental ruins that mark the centre of worship in ancient Thebes. In the Valley of the Kings you will see the burial sites of pharaohs and can explore the rock-cut tombs and their painted chambers. You will also visit the terraced Hatshepsut Temple, an imposing mortuary temple built into the cliffs, and pause at the Colossi of Memnon to view the two giant seated statues that guard the west bank. Along the way you will have time to take in the scale, architecture and atmosphere of these sites and can learn about their place in Egypt’s history. After your visits, you will be driven back to Hurghada.
