Professional and friendly driver. No accompanying guide, but guided tour of the 2 monasteries each time by a monk. A very authentic experience that gives another look at Egypt and allows to discover a largely unknown face. I would have hoped for longer visits given the distance travelled, but large parts of the monasteries are not visited. An excursion to do if you are passionate about history or devout Orthodox believer or simply want a day of cultural visits away from the mass tourism of Hurghada. Count 3 hours drive each way.
