Over two days you will explore some of the most famous historic sites around Cairo. On day 1 you will visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, then see the older Step Pyramid at Sakkara and the ruins of Memphis, the first ancient capital of Egypt. As you move between these sites you will take in the different styles and scales of ancient Egyptian monuments and the long history they represent. On day 2 you will visit the Mosque of Mohamed Ali and the Citadel of Saladin, then continue to Coptic Cairo and the Khan e Khalil bazaar. Along the way you will pass through key religious and historic parts of the city, from the citadel and mosque to the ancient Christian quarter and the lively traditional bazaar, giving you a broad view of Cairo’s cultural and architectural heritage.
