If you want to go inside the Great Pyramid or visit the Museum of the Solar Boat, you can buy an extra ticket at the gate. At the Egyptian Museum you will see a wide range of Egyptian treasures from different periods. The most famous is the collection from the young king Tutankhamun, which includes the golden mask and a golden sarcophagus made from roughly 110 kg of pure gold. As you move through the galleries, you will encounter artefacts that span the country’s long history and offer insight into ancient burial practices and royal life.
