Overview

In the First Dive Briefing & Practice, a certified and professional diving instructor will give you a clear, easy-to-understand briefing before you get in the water. You will learn the essential basics of scuba diving, including how to use the equipment and the important safety procedures that keep dives comfortable and secure. The instructor will also explain the underwater hand signals used for communication so you know how to stay in touch while submerged. As you move into the shallow water, you will practise a few simple skills to build your confidence and get comfortable breathing underwater. These exercises will help you become familiar with the kit and the sensations of diving in a controlled setting. Along the way, the instructor will support you and answer questions so you leave the session feeling more prepared for further dive experiences.
