This experience takes you through some of Egypt’s most important ancient sites. In Memphis, Egypt’s first capital, you will walk the site and stand before the statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. At Saqqara, often called the birthplace of the pyramid, you will explore the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, where stone architecture and pyramid building began. As you move on, you will enter the Pyramid of King Unas to see the world’s oldest religious texts carved on its walls. At Dahshur, you will visit the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, revealing how ancient builders perfected pyramid design. The experience finishes at the Serapeum, where you will see the underground tombs of the sacred Apis bulls. Along the way, you will encounter key monuments that trace the development of Egypt’s funerary architecture and religious practice.
