You will begin with a visit to the famous Egyptian Museum, where countless exhibits sit steeped in history. As you move through the displays, you’ll gain a sense of Egypt’s ancient past and its artefacts. The experience then takes you to the Pyramids of Giza, often described as the last existing wonder of the world, where three main pyramids stand: Chephren, Cheops and Mykerinos. You can explore the pyramid area on foot, on horseback or on a camel, enjoying different perspectives of these monumental structures. After the pyramids, you will see the Great Sphinx, the largest surviving sphinx, with a human head on a lion’s body. The sphinx was carved from the remains of a limestone hill that once served as a quarry for the Cheops pyramid. Along the way there is also the option to take a boat trip on the Nile for a fee, which may be available as an extra to complement the visit.
