Overview
An afternoon and evening in the Eastern Desert, built around a quad-bike run across the dunes and a Bedouin dinner under the stars. Picked up from your Hurghada hotel, you drive out beyond the resort strip to the safari base, where a briefing and a helmet get you ready for the ride. From there you set off across open desert on your own quad, following the guide in a convoy that throws up a trail of dust as the sand rolls past and the coastal mountains rise ahead. The route pauses at a Bedouin village, where you can meet the community, try a short camel ride and see how life is lived out here on the desert margin. As the sun drops the temperature eases and the dunes glow gold, the best light of the day for photos. Dinner is a Bedouin-style BBQ served at the camp, followed by sweet tea, and after dark the sky opens up — with almost no light pollution the stars are extraordinary, and many trips add a short folklore or Tanoura show around the fire. Transfers, gear, dinner and a guide are all handled, making it an easy, high-energy way to swap the beach for the desert for an evening.
